Work-Life

Working Professionals:

I have dedicated the last two and a half years of my professional career to assisting healthcare workers in helping professionals who have struggled with:

  • Burnout
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Difficulty sleeping (due to thinking of ongoing tasks or to-do lists, anxiety or rumination of past or future)
  • Perfectionism
  • Boundary setting
  • Interpersonal relationships

This group includes nurses, doctors, recruiters, directors, managers, dietitians, and so on. Although healthcare workers face numerous challenges, many of these difficulties are not unique to the healthcare industry. Whether you are a healthcare worker or not, I am here to support you in overcoming the professional or personal struggles you may be experiencing.

How can therapy help?

My goal is to assist professionals in increasing happiness and peace in their lives. I accomplish this by utilizing and teaching techniques around boundary setting, assertive communication, and mindfulness. I also teach problem-solving approaches and relaxation techniques to help alleviate anxiety. I encourage my clients to engage in enjoyable or productive activities to foster feelings of accomplishment and joy.

I take a personalized approach to treating my clients. I will work collaboratively with you to determine what techniques and boundaries are appropriate and feasible for your unique situation. I will utilize evidence-based techniques and modalities during the session, as well as teach you a variety of practices to implement between visits. Some of the common modalities I will use for this population are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I will send you additional resources, which may include handouts, worksheets, and videos, as appropriate to advance learning and growth.

Therapy will be conducted online or virtually at an agreed-upon cadence that will help you meet your goals (ie. weekly, biweekly, once a month). I may discuss a referral for medication management in addition to therapy with you depending upon the severity of your symptoms and how they are affecting your quality of life and ability to function.

Please do not hesitate to reach out if you need any help or support in these areas.
