Clinical Supervision

Congratulations on getting to this point in your career! It took a lot of dedication and work to get to this point. It is exciting that you are ready to take the next step in your professional career! Preparing to pass the clinical exam can be both exciting and anxiety provoking. I am here to support you, provide direction, and facilitate professional growth that will help you pass the LCSW exam and shape you into a competent clinician.

About me and my clinical experience:

I graduated from UNLV with my MSW in 2014 and got my LCSW in 2018. I have worked with several populations, including sexual offenders, victims of sexual abuse, individuals in crisis, individuals who acquired life altering diagnoses (brain and spinal cord injuries), and healthcare professionals wanting treatment for anxiety, depression, burnout, and trauma. I also have experience treating children, adolescents, and adults using an integrated care model. I am well-versed in many therapeutic models and hold my CCTP ( Certification as a Clinical Trauma Professional).

What to expect:

We will have a collaborative relationship and will use a variety of tools and resources in supervision sessions- articles, videos, case review and conceptualization. I will aim to understand your learning style so I can best support and guide you in a way that is best for you. It is important to take supervision seriously and that we make the most out of our time together. I ask for supervisees to be on time and engaged in supervision sessions.

  • Teaching therapeutic skills, including assessing, diagnosing, and treatment planning
  • Teaching clinical documentation
  • Learning how to be a culturally competent clinician
  • Recognizing if/when it is appropriate to engage in self-disclosure with clients
  • Understanding confidentiality and discuss cases related to mandated reporting
